Cameron has over 20 years of experience working in equity research, corporate advisory, fund management and private equity. During this time, he evaluated company’s business models, growth strategies and prospects with a view to making well-researched investment decision. Cameron has significant skills and expertise in evaluating business models, financial analysis and company valuation. His strong financial and quantitative skills with relationship management capabilities has allowed him to build a broad network of trusted contacts.

Cameron is a data-driven investment professional, he thoroughly reviews research, numbers, and carefully considered insights.  He supports investment and commercial decision making with sharp market insights and synthesizing information from many sources into actionable insights that consider risk and opportunity.

Throughout Cameron’s career, colleagues, clients, and managers have consistently commented on his exceptional work ethic. He has a “Be Your Best” approach and is known for putting his head down and consistently meeting commitments.

From 1995 to 2007, he worked as an Equity Research Analyst with some of the top tier Australian stock broking firms such as Merrill Lynch, ANZ Bank, BNO Paribas, BBY and Lodge Partners. From 2007 he worked for more than seven years in fund management at Northcape Capital, an Australian-based boutique fund manager with multi-billion dollars funds under management.

From October 2017 to March 2020, he served on the Board of Directors of Actcelerate International Group as Non-Executive Director. Actcelerate is a privately equity fund listed on the National Stock Exchange of Australia. He assisted the Company make investment decisions on start-ups in the Asian and Australian regions.

Cameron holds a Bachelor of Commerce major in Accounting and Finance, and Master of Commerce major in Finance from the University of NSW, as well as professional qualifications in Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, and Diploma in Financial Planning from Kaplan Professional. He has completed the Level II Exam of the CFA Program from the CFA Institute.

In addition to English, Cameron can speak Vietnamese, Cantonese and Teochew (a southern Chinese dialect) fluently. He can also speak some Mandarin.

 

He divides his time between Sydney, Australia and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
